Ten common process characteristics of custom metal medal

There are many types and crafts of medals on the market, and I have summarized the ten major types of medals commonly used in the market:

1. Transfer medals:

The pictures and texts are prefabricated on the transfer paper, which is convenient for the on-site work of the workpiece. The transfer graphic is very clear, but correspondingly speaking, the production cost is also high;

2. Silk-printed medals:

Contains metal silk-printed medals, plastic silk-printed medals, acrylic silk-printed medals, etc. Silk-printed medals have a wide range of adaptability, and are mostly used on plastic panels, such as speaker panels, chassis panels and other mechanical panels. It has the characteristics of low cost and wide application;

3. Pad printing medals:

Adopting a silica gel head to absorb graphic ink on the intaglio plate and transfer it to the workpiece, which is more suitable for uneven surfaces, such as curved surfaces;

4. Offset printing medals:

In the printing method of circular flattening, the graphics and text are transferred from the rubber roller to the flat workpiece, the graphics and text are fine, and they are often used for watch cards, etc.;

5. Electroforming medals:

With a higher current density, the metal is deposited on the "master mold", and then peeled off from the master mold after deposition. Ultra-thin self-adhesive electroforming nameplate belongs to this type, and it is a variety that has been widely popular in recent years;

6. Electroplating medals:

The material can be metal, plastic, etc. After etching the graphics, ionic metals are deposited, usually chromium, nickel, or gold. The surface of the electroplating medals is very bright, looks noble, and has strong corrosion resistance;

7. Electrophoresis medals:

Under the direct current electric field, make the paint with polarity deposit on the surface of bare metal, often used in conjunction with the etching process;

8. Highlight medals:

Usually on the convex surface of aluminum pressing, it is turned with a diamond knife to produce a high gloss effect. It is a relatively economical and affordable nameplate production;

9. PVC soft plastic medals:

A decorative medal with polycarbonate (PC or PVC) as the base material, thermal injection molding through a mold, and subsequent processing such as coloring or vacuum plating to complete the color of the medal pattern and its protection. PVC soft signs have good abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance, which improves the grade of products. They are widely used in electrical appliances, machinery and other industries, and are also a good business gift;

10. Crystal drop plastic medals:

This is a follow-up finishing process, in which polyurethane with good transparency is dripped on the surface of the medal workpiece for decoration and protection. Disu medals are generally slightly convex in the middle, and the surface is smooth and bright. They are widely used in electronics, home appliances, electrical and mechanical products.
